Tuesday November 8, 2011
See you in the Deep River library meeting room.
Starting at 7:00 p.m. we will have a short brainstorming session for our 2012 gardening season. We’re continuing to build our garden club from the soil up and welcome all gardeners, from the beginner to the master. Are you interested in learning new skills, listening to a dynamic speaker, meeting people or contributing to your community? Then our garden club may be for you.
At 7:30 p.m. our guest speaker, Sheila Selby will inspire us with her summer adventures. It was Sheila’s first season on her Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm on Leader Road in Deep River. Sheila’s enthusiasm is catching, her energy boundless, her commitment staggering.
My husband, John and I were members this year. We were excited each Thursday, pick-up day, to see our basket of fresh, just picked, organic vegetables. Being mostly raw-foodies, we plowed through our mouth watering, tasty produce in just a few days; eating salads for lunch and dinner, juicing scrumptious greens for breakfast and having the occasional stir-fry, usually the one offered or a rendition of the recipe given by Sheila on her weekly email update. John and I have signed up for next year.
We look forward to seeing you on the evening of Tuesday November 8th.
